Joseph J. Pramberger Pianos at YOUNG CHANG

The story of the Pramberger family goes as far back as the end of the 18th century, when Johann Joseph Pramberger was born in 1779 in Germany's Black Forest region. Later, he took to piano manufacturing in Vienna, Austria, the music Mecca of the world.

During this period, all aspects of piano production gathered the study of art and the science of acoustics.

Today, the same values are employed even if design and technology have evolved. The inherent knowledge of preceding generations remains of highest significance in the creation of quality instruments, even to this day.

Joseph J. Pramberger's father, Anton, who landed on American soil in 1950, passed on a tradition to his son which, today, has attained its seventh generation of craftsmanship in the art of piano making.

Joseph J. Pramberger has forged an international reputation by associating art and science in the making of pianos. Reinforced by the experience he gained over several years spent with the Steinway & Sons piano manufacturers, and by the success of his own company, Pramberger Piano Ltd., he has also walked alongside numerous manufacturers of international renown. Today, Joseph Pramberger is a summit, a highly-respected reference amongst the most prestigious design engineers.

Joseph J. Pramberger joined the YOUNG CHANG piano manufacturer in 1995. His innovations are mainly focused on the creation of a new soundboard design and important transformations in the piano's mechanism.

The result is an increasingly flexible soundboard that offers improved projection as well as piano action with a fast response and dynamic. These innovations elevate the Young Chang piano's performance to a new summit. Superior in timbre and rendering, the new Young Chang piano from the Pramberger series fully meets the requirements and wishes of the learned musician, who is mindful of obtaining an instrument of superior quality for the best price.
